The All Progressives Congress has released the full membership of its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, unveiling a broad structure that brings together serving and former government officials, lawmakers, party leaders, religious figures, professionals and political stakeholders.

The 223-member council was made public by the Presidency on Saturday, following an earlier announcement of the council’s principal officers.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will serve as chairman, with Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, as first and second vice chairmen respectively.

Senator Abdulaziz Yari is the Director-General, while Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, will serve as secretary.

The expanded structure assigns officials to a wide range of directorates covering campaign finance, election planning, media and strategic communications, security and intelligence, youth and women mobilization, education, manufacturing and MSMEs, extractive industries, faith-based mobilization, labour relations, grassroots engagement and digital operations.

Former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, heads the Stakeholders’ Mobilization Directorate. Former Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, is the South-West Zonal Coordinator for the same directorate.

The council also includes several senior government and political figures in key positions. Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Deputy Senate President Bamidele Opeyemi are among the Deputy Directors-General, alongside governors and other senior party figures.

The election planning structure has representatives across the six geopolitical zones, while separate directorates will coordinate logistics, fundraising, policy and manifesto development, legal affairs and parliamentary mobilization.

Information Minister Mohammed Idris, presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga and other prominent government communication officials were assigned roles within the Media and Strategic Communication directorate. Segun Dada will head New Media.

The council has also established dedicated structures for young people, women, persons with disabilities and sports stakeholders. Faith-based mobilization will operate separate Christian and Muslim directorates.

Other directorates will focus on support groups, community mobilization, labour unions, special duties, welfare and morale, manufacturing and small businesses, as well as digital campaign operations.

The security and intelligence team includes senior military and security figures, while the Data Management Directorate will be responsible for the campaign’s data-related operations.

The party has also provided for state-level campaign structures. APC governors in states controlled by the party and gubernatorial candidates in other states will serve as state campaign coordinators, alongside party executives, candidates and coordinators for various campaign directorates.

The council further lists a number of former governors, senior politicians and other influential figures under stakeholder, parliamentary, contact mobilization, security and advisory categories.

Among those listed as advisers to the chairman are former APC National Chairman Adebisi Akande, former Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha, former PDP National Chairman Abdullahi Adamu, former Ogun State Governor Segun Osoba and former Senator Florence Ita-Giwa.

The parliamentary mobilization team includes former Senate Presidents Ameh Ebute, Ken Nnamani and Anyim Pius Anyim, as well as former Speakers of the House of Representatives Aminu Masari, Patricia Etteh, Dimeji Bankole and Yakubu Dogara.

The legal team includes senior lawyers and former political office holders, while the wider stakeholder list features serving and former governors, ministers, lawmakers and party figures from across the country.

The release signals the APC’s move to formalize its nationwide campaign machinery ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with the extensive directorate structure designed to coordinate political mobilization, communication, fundraising, grassroots outreach and engagement with key interest groups.
