The Management of TheLink News Media Limited is pleased to announce a strategic rebranding and leadership evolution aimed at positioning the organization for enhanced local, regional and global impact as well as journalistic excellence.
As part of the transition and corporate restructuring, Taofikat Morayo Nwabufo has assumed the role of publisher and short-term executive editor across business, digital, and priority news desks, driving strategic editorial direction, digital-first execution, newsroom quality, audience growth, and monetization readiness. She is a seasoned business, communication and digital transformation leader with nearly two decades of cross-industry experience and now oversees TheLink News Media Limited and sister entities, TheLink Digital and TheLink Consulting as owner.
TheLink News formerly managed by Line and Link Global Multiservices Limited (L2GM) now operates independently. It was co-launched in July 2022 as a public-interest newspaper dedicated to bridging the gap between governance and the citizenry. At its inception, the platform was significantly shaped by the vision and pioneering contributions of its founders and publishers, including Taofikat Morayo Nwabufo, with Fredrick Nwabufo serving as chief executive, as the platform established its core identity: “Foregrounded in probity, impartiality, and objectivity.”
This evolution allows the platform to build upon the solid foundation laid during its launch phase while integrating new perspectives on digital innovation and global media trends.
To better reflect its expanding regional and international reach and provide a more accessible platform for a global audience, TheLink News has successfully rebranded its digital presence.
While its legacy domain, www.thelinkng.ng, remains a proprietary asset of the organization, www.thelinkng.co is its new global domain.
This transition to the .co extension is a deliberate step toward ensuring that our reporting on Nigeria’s socio-political landscape achieves a wider resonance across the regional and international community.
Consequently, entries on all digital repositories and traditional outlets are enjoined to note and fully reflect TheLink News Media transition, strategic rebranding and leadership evolution, as detailed on our official About Us page.
TheLink News remains steadfast in its commitment to “linking you with the truth.” We continue to prioritize verifiable facts and in-depth analysis of local and global governance, accountability, and citizens’ rights.
