Veteran Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance after revealing that she is facing another major health challenge that requires urgent medical intervention.
The actress, best known for her role in the popular television series Fuji House of Commotion, disclosed that she has been admitted to hospital for several weeks and urgently needs three surgeries.
In an emotional video shared on her official Instagram page, Nwosu said the procedures are expected to cost about ₦30 million, explaining that she has been battling severe pain while receiving treatment.
She appealed to fans, colleagues, friends and members of the public to support her financially, saying the surgeries are critical to her recovery.
According to the actress, she has endured weeks of hospitalization and is struggling with worsening pain, prompting her public appeal for help.
Nwosu also urged well-wishers who may be unable to contribute financially to help amplify her message by sharing her appeal across social media.
The actress has previously overcome a major health challenge. In 2013, she underwent treatment in the United Kingdom after developing serious heart and kidney complications, with financial support from colleagues, fans, public figures and corporate organizations helping to fund her medical care.
She said her current condition has deteriorated again, leaving her in need of fresh medical intervention.
The appeal has since attracted sympathy from fans and members of the entertainment industry, with many expressing hope that support will once again come in time for the veteran actress to receive the treatment she requires.
