The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reminded eligible Nigerians that the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise will end on Sunday, July 26, 2026, urging those yet to register to complete the process before the deadline.
In a notice shared on its official X account on Saturday, the electoral commission encouraged prospective voters not to wait until the last minute, stressing that no further registrations would be accepted after the exercise closes.
According to INEC, eligible citizens can complete their voter registration online through its official CVR portal or visit any approved registration centre across the country for physical enrolment and assistance.
The commission said applicants who require support can visit INEC state offices, local government offices or other designated registration centres to finalize their registration.
INEC also announced that all registration centres will continue to operate every day, including weekends, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. until the exercise ends.
The voter registration exercise forms part of the commission’s preparations for the 2027 general elections. It is designed to register first-time voters, as well as allow eligible Nigerians to update or correct their voter information before the next electoral cycle.
