JAMB disclosed this in an explainer video posted on its official X account on Friday, advising affected candidates to check their admission records and ensure all required steps have been completed.
The board said the first of the three issues is the most common, while the third is the most important for candidates seeking to confirm their admission status.
1. Admission not accepted on JAMB CAPS
According to JAMB, candidates who have not accepted their admission through the Central Admissions Processing System, or whose admission status still shows “not admitted”, may not appear on the matriculation list.
Candidates whose status remains “not admitted” were advised to return to their institutions and ensure their admission is properly processed.
2. Institution has not submitted verified details
JAMB also said a candidate may be missing from the list because the institution has not sent the candidate’s verified matriculation information to the board.
Candidates affected by this should contact their admission offices and confirm that their admission details have been properly processed and forwarded through JAMB CAPS.
3. Required JAMB documents have not been printed
The board identified failure to print the JAMB original result slip and admission letter as the third issue.
JAMB advised candidates who have not obtained the documents to visit the nearest JAMB office or an approved Computer-Based Test centre to have them printed.
The board urged candidates who are unable to find their names on the matriculation list to check all three areas and resolve any outstanding issues with their institutions or JAMB.
It also encouraged candidates to follow its official social media platforms for further information and updates concerning the matriculation list.
