Pupils and teachers recently rescued from captivity following their abduction in Orire Local Government Area of Oyo State have expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and Nigeria’s security agencies for securing their freedom.
In a video released by the Presidency after their rescue, the victims conveyed their gratitude for the efforts that led to their safe return, acknowledging the government’s intervention and the commitment of security personnel involved in the operation.
The rescued victims said they recognised the President’s concern for their safety and thanked him for the steps taken to facilitate their release.
They also praised the security operatives who participated in the rescue mission, noting that their professionalism and determination were instrumental in bringing them back alive.
The victims repeatedly expressed appreciation to the security personnel and prayed for their continued protection and success in carrying out their duties.
The Presidency announced the successful rescue on Friday through the Office of the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, describing the operation as another significant achievement in the government’s ongoing efforts to combat insecurity and secure the release of kidnap victims across the country.
