Grammy-winning superstar Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has officially made history as Africa’s highest-grossing touring artiste. According to year-end data released on Tuesday, 30 December 2025, by the analytics platform Touring Data, the singer’s “I Told Them” world tour generated a record-breaking $30.5 million.
The feat, which covers 22 shows across North America and Europe, marks a new pinnacle for the Afrobeats genre, proving its massive commercial power on the global stage.
The tour, which ran between late 2023 and early 2024, saw the “City Boys” crooner perform to packed arenas and stadiums, grossing a total of $30,500,000, selling a total of 302,801 tickets with average attendance at shows peaking 13,760 per show.
Revenue was also almost perfectly split, with Europe contributing $15.27 million and North America bringing in $15.19 million.
The crown jewel of the tour was the 29 June 2024 performance at the London Stadium with attendance garnered at 58,973 fans, a 91.5% capacity that culminated in $6.147 million for a single night revenue.
This remains the highest-grossing one-off concert by an African artist in history.

While the “I Told Them” tour set the record, Burna Boy shows no signs of slowing down. He spent the latter half of 2025 headlining his new “No Sign of Weakness” tour, supporting his eighth studio album.
Industry experts note that Burna Boy’s ability to command high ticket prices (averaging over $170 in some US cities) and sell out venues traditionally reserved for Western pop stars like Taylor Swift and Beyoncé has “forever changed the valuation of African music.”
Adding to his “touring king” status, Burna Boy enters 2026 with multiple Grammy nominations, including Best African Music Performance for his hit single “Love”. He faces stiff competition from fellow Nigerians Davido, Ayra Starr, and Wizkid.
