In news reports, seven of the 100 abductees from Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State have been released without conditions. A family member of one of the victims told newsmen that the terrorists did not disclose the reason for the release of the seven victims which include a nursing mother, three women, and three men who have reunited with their families. The terrorists have in recent days carried out multiple attacks in the state laying siege to the Kajuru Local Government Area with repeated incidents of abductions. Before the Sunday incident of carting away another 100 victims, several residents were abducted at Dogon-Noma, in the same Kajuru LGA. On Monday, 18 March at least 61 people were abducted at Budah in the same area with residents of the community bewailing that the area is now under siege as bandits brazenly order residents to come out of their houses and abduct them. Kaduna State, hosting various Nigerian security formations, is often under attack by various armed groups. It may be recalled that just recently, on March 7, bandits abducted about 250 school children and their tutors in Kuriga, a community in the Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
