Portable takes international journalist on a tour of school in Ogun State community

A clip of Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter Habeeb Okikiola with stage name Portable aka “Dr. Zeh” on a secondary school tour located in Iyana-Ilogbo community of Ogun State with Nigerian-born British journalist DJ Brooke Bailey without security detail seems to be taking the internet by storm. Portable was seen in a video going around his neighbourhood with ease in Ilogbo as a throng of students in the school he attended as a child trooped out in frenzied celebration of the star in their midst. During the tour of his old school, the singer visited his former principal’s office and made some promises of giving back to the school. Notably, the reconstruction of toilets for the students, rehabilitation of some classrooms including the repairs of roofs. Portable also visited the king of Iyana-Ilogbo, Onitigbo of Ilogbo introducing DJ Brooke Bailey to the Yoruba monarch. The video is a clip from DJ Brooke’s documentary titled “Spending a Day with Portable.”
