In news reports, the Nigerian Army on Tuesday enjoined the Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State to point out the murderers of its top officers and soldiers slain on Thursday, 14 March 2024. The Army has also released the photos and names of its fallen men on its X-handle with the title “Rest in Peace our Fallen Heroes” putting their number at 17 and not 16 as widely reported by the media. The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) also re-tweeted the list. The list captures the identity of thirteen soldiers and four officers namely, Lt. Col. A.H Ali, Maj Safa, Maj D.E Obi, and Cap U. Zakari. The soldiers are Staff Sergeant Yahaya Saidu, Corporal Yahaya Danbaba, Corporal Kabir Bashir, Lance Corporals Bulus Haruna, Sole Opeyemi, Bello Anas, Haman Peter, and Ibrahim Abdullahi. The rest are Privates Alhaji Isah, Clement Francis, Abubakar Ali, Ibrahim Adamu and Adamu Ibrahim.
