The Lagos State Government has released a comprehensive traffic advisory ahead of the Ajegunle City Youth Marathon (2.0), scheduled to take place tomorrow, Saturday, December 13, 2025.
The marathon, organized by the Society for Information and Human Advancement under the theme “Run To The Path of Light, Say No To Drugs,” will result in the partial closure of several major and inner roads within the Ajeromi-Ifelodun axis starting from 6:00 a.m.
The race will traverse a significant portion of Ajegunle, beginning at the Maracana Stadium and terminating at Signal Barracks. The following roads will experience partial closures: Maracana Stadium axis, Ojoku Street, Baale Road, Kirikiri Road, Wilmer Link Bridge, Okito Street, Kopariwo Street, Mba/Cardoso Street, and Cemetery Street. And other residential and inner Roads: Ojora Street, Baale Aiyetoro Street, Olowojeunjeje Street, Oduduwa Street, Layinka Street, Bakare Faro Street, Adejiyan Street, Ishaga Street, Onishapa Street, Itire Street, and Ojo Road.
Traffic management personnel from LASTMA, the Nigeria Police Force, FRSC, and the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps will be stationed at all junctions and intersections to manage the flow. These points will be opened intermittently to allow controlled vehicular movement as runners pass.
Motorists are advised to plan their journeys ahead and utilize the following diversions to minimize delays:

| Suru-Alaba to Gaskiya/Iganmu | Use the designated contra-flow on Cemetery Road starting from Techn Oil to the roundabout. |
| Suru-Alaba to Ojo Road | Turn left before Signal Barracks into Charles Avenue $\rightarrow$ Ligali Street $\rightarrow$ Evie Street $\rightarrow$ Abeje Street $\rightarrow$ Ojo Road. |
The Ministry of Transportation has urged residents and commuters to cooperate with traffic officials to ensure the safety of the young athletes and the success of the community event.
